The Z4 goes bi: Hartge Biturbo Z30
BMW tuner Hartge is no stranger to building fast BMWs. Stuffing the 5.0-liter V10 into a 3-series, and a 4.4-liter V8 into a 1-Series are just a couple of their recent feats of magic. The latest transformation is the H30 Biturbo, taking the twin-turbo 3.0-liter straight six from the 335i and filling the bonnet of a Z3 with boost. Producing 380 horsepower and 332 ft/lbs of torque, the modified motor will get you to 62 miles per hour (100 KMH) in a scant 4.8 seconds on your way to a top speed of 177 miles per hour.

Braking comes from 4-piston calipers gripping 380mm front rotors with 324mm rotors in the rear. The 20-inch wheel and tire combination featuring 245/30ZR20 front and 295/25ZR20 rubber in the rear also allows the H30 Biturbo to take full advantage of the chassis. Fully adjustable dampers and springs that lower the vehicle 30mm round out the mods underneath. A Stainless steel exhaust with dual outlets gives the H30 the bark to match its bite.
The exterior features a front spoiler lip as well as carbon fiber mirror caps. Carbon fiber is also featured in the interior, where it is used on the sport steering wheel, instrument panel, console and door handles. Contrasting aluminum pedals, a leather shift knob and e-brake handle along with a necessary 300 KMH speedometer and matching tachometer complete the interior changes.
Power doesn't come cheap. The Hartge H30 Biturbo will set you back €83,250 or $110,780 US.

That would be bonnet of a z4 Coupe not a z3.

What a waste of time and money. The stock Z4 3.0si gets to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds for $42,000. So Hartge is asking for $68,000 on top of that price to make the BMW barely barely faster. Also, putting 20" rims on a car like that is just stupid.
Editor: You say Z3 in the article when it is a Z4.

While the 0-60 time is not that different, the 1/4 mile time and trap speed should be significantly quicker. 0-60 is really too short of a timespan for large power differences to have large effects. Also, getting below 5 seconds in the 0-60 is a traction issue.

with the existing 3.0si using the version of BMW's 3.0 that is no longer in use in the 3 series, remember... teh 328 is ~228 hp, the 335 is 300... it seems logical that teh z4 will have similar engine rearrangments soon...

Or a 911 and a regular BMW Z4 for that price.

It looks like a bastard child, which is precisely why I love it. Looking for individuality? Show to others you're a crazy man with money? haha I would, thus I'd get this car.
